The listing, Griswold No. 6 Dutch Oven has ended.
This is a Griswold No. 6 Tite-Top Dutch Oven. The measurements are 8 1/4" round and 4" high not including the lid. The lid is coated with enamel on the inside.
The oven was patented on March 16, 1920 #2605; and the lid was patented February 10, 1920 #2606A. It is in very good condition considering its age, maybe a little cleaning and seasoning prior to using. Of course I have no way of knowing exactly how old it is. The Griswold Company started making enameled cookware in the 1920’s.
There is very little rust. I have added some links below so that you can review the history of the Griswold Company & get advice on the proper way to clean & care for cast iron.
