The listing, *BEAUTIFUL*114yr. old brass hardware set has ended.
I took this off of a 9 foot oak door I found in a 114 year old home that I did a demo job on. It is a beautiful brass complete set.. it is in amazing condition, with the exception of the inner latch box. It has two cracks and the dead bolt is gone, but the striker lock is still there and fully functional.. so, you CAN use this on your home, or keep it as decor. Comment or message, with and questions.. let's bid his gorgeous piece!!!!!

I have all sorts of things but this was the nicest.. I was not sure I even wanted to put it on here, because I knw what its worth.... but... I figured heck with it, it would be fun to watch watch the bids!!!
Has it been spray painted? Have you tried to use any Brasso or cleaner on it at all? is it heavy? sorry for all the questions. What does it say on the piece that goes in the door jam. Is that a brand?
Thanks!!! I'm new to this site, so I'm interested to see how this one goes. I know what it is worth, so hopefully we get a good outcome!!!!. I just sold a tobacco can on here that did way better better than I expected
Beautiful! My husband and I just bought seven of these (not as ornate as yours) at an estate sale. We are redoing our interior doors (we salvaged some 80 year heavy wooden doors from an old house that was being demolished). Gorgeous piece!
To be completly honst with you I'm not really sure just how thes old locks work.. I do NOT have a key, that is the only thing missig from the set, unsure if you can have one made or not, or what it might cost.. that I really can't answer.. it will close, and latch. But as far as locking I have no clue
I have been happily surprised before and I also have been very disappointed with my auctions. I just figure it all comes out in the end. I hope you do well enough to stick around, looks like you have some good stuff. Good luck
