Auto has to do with the auto aperture mechanism; these all have a little switch that permits you to use them in stop down mode as with a yashica penta j.

my yashica penta J is the only one I have with the m42 screw mount. It is manual however, so, my question being that your lenses and 3x converter are Auto, will they work on my camera? if you can help. I've really wanted a good 28mm lens and Converter for a long time. :) Thank you for your time. :)

From what quick research I did, just about any lens, with the right mount, that is auto focus put on a manual camera will still work, auto focus will just be inoperative. Just google research "will an auto lens work on a manual camera" and it will bring up quite a few sites to read more about it. I hope this helps.

VERY NICE :) Question, are they all Sears Automatics? Do you know if they would fit a C/Y mount, or M42 screw mount, or a Canon FD mount, or a Minolta A lens mount? Some of mine are auto and some manual and some both. Thank you for your time. :)

28mm is Sears Auto. 200mm is Focal Auto. 3X Converter is Sears Auto. Yes they are M42 screw mount, also known as Bayonet PK. Hope this answers your questions.

Hey! These look like m42 screwmount to me :) This looks like you could fit it in a Post Office Regional Flat Rate Box A - check your local post office and they'll give you one for free - it ships anywhere in the US, and I think the highest cost based on distance is $10. Also - just to confirm - Auto Sears 28mm f2.8 and Auto Sears 200mm f3.5, right?

Without knowing your zip code, it shouldn't be more than $10. To know for sure, I need your zip code.

Check your specs. on your camera for M42 screw mount lenses also known as Bayonet PK

FYI - m42 is a threaded mount, PK is a later, bayonet style mount. Minolta is also completely different. These will fit: Pentax spotmatic, yashica TL, early mamiya sekor, zenit, praktica. They will not work on later Pentax models, nikon, olympus, canon. Fine lenses though. And lots of adapters are available to increase compatibility, even with digital SLRs.

According to what I have found doing research, you will need an adapter to make these lenses work on your camera. I was wrong when I said that M42 and Bayonet PK are the same, they are not. Bayonet PK is a newer version and therefore requires an adapter in order use the older version lenses. Another member, josephlong, who is very knowledgeable on this, set me straight. Thank you.

I knew about the Red dot Auto/Manual switch, but wasn't sure if it was on all Auto + Zoom lenses. Thanks. :)
