Ive been burnt a few times here, but ended up getting the credits back so it all worked out in the end.....Please dont give up.....I just tell people on my auctions if they dont like sometimething or are unsure then keep moving on and dont bid on my stuff.....Sometimes you gotta be straight forward with some of these people....

Definitely don't give up on Listia. I second what dreamcatchergrove and Dave23 have said. I have been here several years and like you at first wasn't too sure, but have grown to love it. After you get a few positive feedbacks showing you are a serious seller you will get a lot more bids. Because of some bad apples (which you will find anywhere you go) many people are hesitant to bid on big ticket items from a new seller. Reason being because of the bad apples who have listed big ticket items and they were fake listings.

Yes, Listia is great about getting your credits back, but it takes a few days. Many ppl don't like to have their credits tied up.

Problem is your new. And members are quick to judge. But we were all new at one point.

The best way to earn respect like with all auction site.
Build your rep up. Start with smaller ticket item first.

After about 20 positive feedback. Members trust you and you will get higher credits for your auctions.

Listia is about sharing.

But there are members that try to run off new users by saying neg comments within their listing. And some who will do this just so your listing will sell for less.

Being verify is important. But once you have done it. Simply block rude users and hide their comments.

Maybe you should talk with Listia and see if you can cancel this since your new. You are getting screwed on these credits.

Yes, I`m new to listia and was still looking around how it works … I`m discouraged by poor safety policies - one has to harshly check each auction out, verify, make sure that it`s real … and there is no guaranty that you actually get what you buy …!
Beyond that, looking through offered products, … there is barely something that I would be interested in getting … (maybe I`m searching incorrectly) … that makes me wanna quit here and go back to craigslist and ebay … It would help if I heard some positive feedback from you who`ve been at Listia for some time … Thank you. Sorry about not posting additional pictures - have no other camera currently available to take pictures with (had to ask a friend to come over to make the ones I posted all ready). I have sold items on ebay and craiglist many times before and had full commitment to follow through with this one as well. However, at this point I ask for advise/guidance how to properly cancel this action (not saying that I definitely will cancel=but very tempted right now) - Listia has not made me comfortable to sell on (for now) … hope to hear from you all. So hard to win a camera here from people (who are usually new) not actually following through, due to bids not going high enough i guess. Sorry to be so negative but I am still an optimist. I just had my time wasted on two back to back cameras I won but never got shipped. PLEASE get yourself verified so more people like me will bid really high. it helps a ton, and welcome to Listia!
