Yes! It's an awesome book, I've checked it out of the library so many times...I'm a strict vegetarian and Indian cuisine is some of my favorite! I'd also be interested in finding some vegetarian Ethiopian cookbooks...there was a really good restaurant that came up here for a festival one time, but it's in another state and there really aren't many local places.

We are pretty much 99% pescetarians LOL:) On special occassions like a Summer picnic, we will actually stray & enjoy ...DON'T CRINGE!... a good ol' American hot dog LOL:)
I personally love mediterranian cooking!! Anything that is healthy is what my family enjoys : ) I don't get to chat too much about our eating lifestyle as much as I'd like to bc not many vegetarians or pescetarians or even vegans for that matter on here I don't think 8(

This is the neatest idea. I have been trying to figure out what else I could post(that wouldn't require goingg o the post office or more expensive flat rate shipping.. I'm going to read later tonight after the little ones are asleep and see what I can come up with. I am looking for:
A cloth diaper snappi
Free Food coupons(kid type stuff)
Gotta love Walmart card and amazon cards
X box games and/or Kinect games

Well, someone had left a comment on one of my coke code auctions saying they expired next month. I finally went to the site to look and it said there that they would last through December of this year. I copied and pasted what it said exactly as comments on both of my auctions. However, if you are inactive {you dont add codes or redeem any points} for 90 days, the points you have on there will expire {or be gone or something} it says. And I'll PM you about what I plan on doing with my points accumulated, Annette. :)

** Okay, so everyone use all your Coke Points before they expire in December!!!! **
.
Mar 25th, 2011 at 4:18:31 PM PDT by
Original
Annette, I'm not sure exactly what you can get for 100 points. I know the coupon for a free blockbuster rental is for 100 points. However, the downside to getting that is, you have to use it within 30 days of redeeming the points for it on the website. They do offer a printable coupon version though. But you have to have adobe acrobat to print it. The offer magazine subscriptions at 133 credits. And they offer coupons for free 20 oz of coke products for 30 points. They also have stuff such as so much % off or a certain $ amount off of orders from different places {I don't know all of these either}, other magazine subscriptions at higher point values, you can use your points to enter sweepstakes to win stuff, and they have stuff they sell, like coke can purses {and other stuff} where you can use your points towards buying them and they take so much off the price.
Mar 25th, 2011 at 7:05:22 AM PDT by
Original
My hubby showed the site to me quite awhile ago but I forgot what was available! LOL:) Magazine subscriptions are cool!! Our points come from family & friends, so I am not sure about the deadline you mentioned before to use the points, I will have to ask my brother if he knows about it so he can get me all that he has before the deadline LOL:)

I posted this on the swap auction, but I'm going to post it here too, in case anyone who comes here and not there has any ideas.

Also, does anyone have any ideas with what I should do with the coke reward points I have? I decided to sign up with them, accumulated a few codes, got up to 87 points then decided I don't really want that. As far as I know, there's no way I could somehow transfer the points I already have in the account there. So I'm not sure what to do with them. After 90 days of inactivity {not adding any codes or spending them} they will simply be gone. I'd hate to see them go to waste. I thought about auctioning them off, in a way. Listing the stuff I can get with that many points and the winner of the auction can choose what they want, then I trade the points in for it and send it to the winner. Any opinions on that?
I know at 100 points, you can get a coupon {or code or something} for a free rental at blockbuster. I could even add another code, to get it that high so I could list that as an option. I don't know... all ideas/suggestions are welcome! And greatly appreciated.

LOL I know, the original recipe is obsolete. I was being a little silly. :) And that's the problem: I know the health hazards, of all those sodas. It's just so hard to give up. Not only is it a bad habit, it's addictive. Yeah, me too. I don't see that happening anytime soon. But maybe someday....

I was like that too with Diet Pepsi, so I know where you are coming from hun! But for me, after a long time of saying I was going to stop... I don't know, one day I just could no longer put it in my body knowing that I was doing that to myself & all the yucky things it does, I quit for Sie too. It was hard at first but not as bad as Jim went thru! But after awhile of not having it & then orderng it for dinner at a restaurant one night, the taste of it was repulsive to me!! I literally had to order something else!! THAT in itself shocked me!! LOL:) ... That is when it clicked for me. All I had to do was listen to my body~ & I knew what I had to do. I began a journey to better health for myself & for my family & I have not regretted it. I pray you will have the strength to quit also hun & SOON!! LOL:) I care about you & your health hun!!! <3 <3 <3

@Annette: I hope you're not drinking coca cola with the ORIGINAL recipe... you do know that when it first came out, it had coke in it, right? LOL Also, that aspartame that they use in diet sodas, that stuff is NOT good for you. *blah* Like it didn't have enough bad stuff in it to begin with, right? I am addicted to the soda though. I know, I know. All that caffeine isn't good for me. But it really is addictive, like a drug. You will go through withdrawal symptoms if you've been drinking it awhile {or consuming quite a bit} and then stop. Caffeine headaches, usually. And stuff like being all tired and worn out and having a case of the blahs, because your body has gotten accustomed to the caffeine as a wake up.

@Berries: 1995 wasn't that long ago. Oh! And I blocked that person you mentioned in Tweety's auction too. It may take me a little while to get to the post office. And as tweety said, I wouldn't want to make her sad.

Well, we don't drink the original Original hun as they have changed it so many times over the years since invention but what I was referring to is, before they started using the HFCS recipe. Mexican Coke Cola is still made with real cane sugar with no HFCS. It's more expensive to buy but worth it to us, as we don't buy it that often~ more like a special treat once in a blue : ) ......Hope you can replace your soda with something better for you hun! <3

Yeah, I'm not big on soda either...I don't drink cola other than TaB on a very rare occasion, I avoid caffeine (plus the phosphoric acid), but I love Mexican sodas like Jarritos and Sidral Mundet! I wish more sodas here used real sugar. Does Jones even still make Blue Bubblegum?
Mar 24th, 2011 at 10:28:00 PM PDT by

I'm not sure but that is my hubby's & our daughter's FAV Jones flavor!!! LOL:)

...Me~ I love Snapple Peach tea LOL:) I also love making my own flavored waters with fruit & also I enjoy making sun tea in the Summer flavored with homemade fruit syrups.

And we all LOVE making healthy drinks! LOL:) We have a few small recipe booklets but my hubby is looking for some new ones. ....I am thinking about actually buying him a really GOOD THICK one for Father's Day this year : D

They changed the formula on the US Tang recently, it's really bland now and doesn't have the vitamin content it used to. I only get the Mexican kind now...they have some different flavors that are really good, too! I wish it didn't have aspartame, though. I fanned you!
Mar 24th, 2011 at 10:09:50 PM PDT by
Original
Thanks hun & I will def. FAN ya back!! That's funny bc I didn't know that about the Tang ..BUT.. we only drink Mexican-made Coke Cola in the glass bottles! LOL:) It's more expensive but it's worth it bc it's still made using the original Coke recipe, which is made with real cane sugar! The Mexican Coke Cola just tastes like childhood to me!! We don't like the Coke everyone else drinks LOL:) And we don't drink it all the time either like most households drink soda. We drink very little soda in general & very little ever makes it into our house LOL:) We just have a distaste now for things that are high in sugar. We have been eating healthy for about 3-4 years now & when you cut-out alot of the sugar, you tend to really appreciate how GOOD food tastes & after awhile, you KNOW what is good food & your tatse buds do not even like the high sugar stuff anymore! I try to tell my extended family this & they are always asking us how we eat the way we do... they really just do not understand it LOL:)
And I look back on the way we used to eat & OMGoodness I CAN'T BELIEVE we ate half that crap!!! LMBO:)

Not terribly, although I do find it concerning. It's scary what goes into the market!
Have you tried the Morningstar corn dogs? They're good, even friends/family who eat meat like them.

Oh, yeah, I've been on the lookout for a Tang pitcher, too. They were produced sometime in the 70s...
Mar 24th, 2011 at 9:45:07 PM PDT by
Original
I do not particularly care for corn dogs in general & have seen the MS ones but haven't tried them but maybe I will now! LOL:) We are big into the food industry/FDA/food safety/ect. & even the politics surrounding al that stuff LOL:)

Anyone else into that sort of thing or at least interested in it?? LOL:)

I've been wishing for vintage band-aid tins/containers & Tang also but I want some to DRINK LOL:) Haven't had it in FOREVER & missing it! LMBO:) I don't want to think about what is in it tho~ just want to taste it once again!!! =D

sorry for hogging your auction comments. Question: how do you calculate the credit ratio? Credit to worth of item. Starting credit amount? Anyone's answer would be helpful. Thanks
Mar 24th, 2011 at 3:27:22 PM PDT by
Original
Don't worry about that hun, we LOVE to chat here!!! LMBO:)

Hmmm... credit ratio... that is a hard one bc I don't really think there is one to be honest LOL:) Some things go very high just bc someone wants it bad~ could just be lip gloss LMBO:) Next week the same exact lip gloss won't go for much at all.

If offering free shipping, starting things out at 100 is wise. If it's a small item like purse size body spray or lip gloss, I start it at 50.

I know this doesn't help very much but my best advice is to go & search whatever you plan to list to get a good idea of what seems to be popular?? ...You will get a good idea simply by seeing or watching the other auctions that are the same or similar to yours. : )

Annette ~ the bodysuits are size Small 8 -12.5 lbs, I checked my drawer I keep my scensy cubes and my little one as moved them. All I could find were Toasted Apple Butter, 4 cubes out of a 6 cube bar & then some Scent Sationals (like scensy) brand new black raspberry vanilla 6 cube bar. I'll look around her usual hiding places to see if I can find the rest. Pamper chef I have, brand new in package: Citrus Peelers, Cake testers, 3" paring knife w/sharpening case (remember, I sold about 12 years ago). Then used but in great condition: flower bread baking tin, dry ingredient adjustable measuring cup, small cut-n-press, large cut-n-press, can opener & two sided rolling pin. I'm not sure about all the names but I can send pictures or just list the stuff. I also have another apple corer/peeler/slicer somewhere. I know I have two but only need one. Just finding it in my storage will be a chore in itself. Spring cleaning here I come!!!!

@cjrose25: Yes, most of my children were preemies. 3 out of 4. My oldest was the only one who wasn't early. You wouldn't believe how hard it was to find clothes for them around here. And I do buy pants with those adjustable waists for my older two, but I can't seem to find many jeans for my toddler with them in it and she's gotten some pants for Christmas she loves but they don't have those either. So I've been looking, but I live in a small town and don't get out to stores too much, all the kids keep me pretty busy. And out of all of my kids, I believe she is going to be the smallest. She's tiny.
Mar 24th, 2011 at 12:16:27 PM PDT by

Sie was always small for her age too. She was always the shortest one in her class LOL:) I remember we couldn't buy "outfits or sets" of clothes bc the pants were always too big for her! So we had to buy seperates or we had to hold the pants back from an "outfit or set" for like EVER, until she could wear them! LMBO:)

@MamaLuv9 All the belts I have go with the outfit or pants/jeans. My daughter has a small frame too and I usually get jeans that have the adjustable waist elastic on the inside w/the button. Was your daughter a preemie? 6 wks early here. I will definitely be on the look out for belts in her size. Good excuse for more shopping. Yeah!!
