(70-75 days) Dating back to the 1890s, these 3-4" oval to round, yellow cukes are juicy and sweet. Thin, tender skins and succulent white flesh make them a joy to eat whole-like an apple-right from the garden. Pick when just starting to turn yellow. This summer treat is rarely found in stores, so grow your own or offer it at your farm stand to enjoy.

Wow! What a young grand mother:) You must be proud! These Lemon cukes are awesome to let the kids pick. I send mine with a washcloth to rub them smooth with and eat right out of the garden. Easy if you are chemical free. These have very few pests, by the way.

I only grow Hungarian wax and jalapeños. Needless to say, my kids don't get into those. Ahhhhhh! The do like them on their Mexican food, though!
