Description

The listing, Purple Foxglove Seeds has ended.

This listing is for a "pinch" of Purple Foxglove seeds. Purple Foxglove seeds are TINY, so I have no way of counting exactly how many will be included. However, I will send a generous pinch that should yield several flowers.

Here's some information about these gorgeous flowers:

If you decide to start foxglove from seed, you'll need to be ready to plant it in early summer.

If starting from seed, use 4-inch seed trays with seed compost. Lightly press the seeds into the compost. Do not cover the seeds with more compost once they are sown, since they require light to germinate. Plan to plant the seedlings when they are a few inches tall.

Sun and Soil requirements:

Full sun. Foxgloves are very adaptable plants, but will grow straightest if they receive direct sunlight.

Well-drained, rich soil. Soil enriched with compost will produce the best blooms, but Foxgloves will grow even in poor soils.

Special Advice:

Foxgloves are said to have a growth-stimulating effect on many nearby plants, particularly Pines.

*******Keep children right away from Foxglove plants, as the blooms, foliage and seeds are all extremely poisonous if eaten.**********

Seeds will be shipped in a bubble mailer via USPS.

I haven't measured them, but about as high as my coneflowers and black eyed susans. Haven't had to stake them yet for support, they seem to do well on their own.
