Here are another 30 seeds from a Cardoon flower, Cynara cardunculus, is a member of the thistle family and related to the Globe Artichoke.
The stalk can be blanched and eaten. The plant requires a 5 months cool growing period and is frost sensitive.
it grows to about 100cm in heights and the striking violet-blue flowers are 10cm across and attract bees and rose chafers and wasps. Need direct sunlight all day. From my own plant.

the flowers are growing i cant wait till its fully blommed i honestly thought that they would die on me but they are sticking around thanks for the last batch im going to bid again so i could use those later on this year or the next

That sounds like such a good plant. We don't usually have that much cold weather, but I'd love to see some blooming.

It is an awesome plant. I had two plants growing in the same spot once. It was crazy. They get around 6ft tall if planted in a spot that gets a ton of sun. The more sun the better for them. Seem pretty hearty too, we have really sandy soil and it doesn't seem to bother them a bit. :)
