Description

The listing, 12 CAYENNE PEPPER SEEDS HOT has ended.

I have for your consideration 12 very hot cayenne pepper seeds. These seeds are from my huge pepper plant that I have over-wintered four seasons. It's more like a shrub or small tree and gives me so many peppers that I almost can't pickle them all! This is a prolific variety that is good green or red. It makes good pickled peppers and can be dried and ground for use in recipes just like the jars you buy at the grocery store. When handling these it is best to use gloves because the oils are hard to wash off your hands...trust me, I KNOW! The plants winter over well in a sunny southern facing window or you can let the peppers turn red and dry them for replanting in Spring. I've had no problem sprouting these in the past, however, individual circumstances can vary.

F& Bidding Did you know that this pepper is very high in Vitamin C? A cup of tea a day... I haven't had a clod in 14 years.

Thanks! I will fan you back. I don't make tea out of it but I make pepper sauce and eat it on my greens. :) I may have to try some of the tea. How do you make it?

I just drop in a couple of pods, pour in hot water (boiling water is not good for any tea, just hot) and let it steep for a few minutes. Might want to start with just one, or even 1/2 a pepper... :-)
