thank you much and yes it would look funny but depending on your case they make bays that adapt from a 2.5 up to a 3.5 or even a hotswapable bay where you can use this like a flash drive plug it in put what you need on it and remove it

yup you would have to get a universial but here is one link i didnt spend a lot of time looking either so if you did mabie you could find one that looked better

yes it will work in any laptop that uses a Serial ATA drive

Serial ATA is the way that it connects to the motherboard according to the specs for that machine it does infact take a serial ATA hard drive and in short Serial ATA is SATA drive hope this helps
