Today I am listing a genuine 1959 Fleer Ted Williams card. This is card #45 of 80 entitled 1952-Farewell to Baseball? This card shows him being honored at Fenway Park after receiving orders to report for duty in the Korean War. No one was sure if he would ever play again but he did return home from service. On the day he played his last game in 1952 he was honored by the Mass. State Senate and the building erupted when he stepped out onto the field and he returned the favor by blasting a home run later in the game.
