The auction is for One Hundred , (100), enough to grow a nice patch, ...White Vienna Kohlrabi Seeds....(Brassica Olercacea)....Kohlrabi is a close relative to the cabbage family and is a frost hardy plant....the flavor is like a very mild cabbage flavor and the texture is crisp and crunchy like a pear....it grows in zones 3 to 10 and is an easy to grow plant...best growing temperatures are between 40 and 75 degrees F. .....The ideal Ph is between 6.0 and 6.8....Kohlrabi is a moderate to heavy feeder and does best in humus rich soil.... the height is approx. 12 to 18 " .....likes full sun and average water conditions.....harvest is approx. 50 to 55 days....sow seeds 1/4" deep after danger of frost or start indoors....Optimal soil temperature to start seeds is between 50 and 85 degrees F. and seed will germinate between 7 to 10 days......I grew these for the first time in my 2013 organic garden and really loved them.....A light green to white skin with a crispy white flesh that is rich in vitamin C and a great source of potassium....Excellent raw, with or without dips...Delicious sliced,diced, or grated in salads....you can also cook or stir fry them.....and they are Healthy for You!...low start of 499 and as always shipping is FREE to the USA,( lower 48 states)....Thanks for viewing and Best of Luck!
