This is a beautiful Oriental vase around 6 inches tall very nice and old. looks to be gold leaf used as the branches(?)

does it have any markings on it or tell where it was made?

it has a gold leaf stamp on the bottom and it says japan, there are no scratches or marks but there is what i think is a quail on it and a little of the gold leave has been worn off just a little on the underside of the bird (whole bird is the size of my thumb)probably where it was handled. Its pretty old looking
