Here I have a very old belt buckle. It measures 11/2" at the top, 11/4" at the bottom and the slanted sides measure 11/8" on each side. The metal holding this lovely piece together is made of solid brass. The back of the buckle looks as if it were made for a heavy woven belt to slip through as it has a knob of brass as you can see to hold it in place, almost like the girl scout belt buckles. The letter M is in scroll lettering and is made of solid brass too! Lovely piece with a lovely price-Free! The writing on the back of the buckle says patent pending as well.
