The listing, Vintage Faux Pearl Necklace has ended.
Vintage double strand faux pearl necklace.
Another item from my grandmother's jewelry box ...
This is a very pretty vintage necklace in a classic style. The pearls are not real. The color is hard to describe or get a photo of. They are creamy off white with a hint of bluish-gray. The photos showing the closeup with the clasp closed are probably closest to the actual color.
The clasp is old-styled and in working condition. Looking at the pictures, it may have had decorative tinting at one time, but the color has mostly worn away. I never noticed that until I took the pictures. The third picture shows a closeup of the bottom of the clasp - most of the ?paint? is still intact.
The necklace is about 15.5" long. The pearls are all in great condition with no color chipping. They are all the same size except for the 4 at the ends of the strands, which are slightly smaller. There are no markings that I can see.
I strongly recommend having the necklace re-strung before wearing. The necklace is probably from the 1950's or early 1960's and I've learned the hard way that the original string can be fragile and break.
This piece is definitely for the vintage lover.
All Listia rules apply and the necklace is "as is". Free shipping in the US to verified address only; actual cost everywhere else.
