last update on this item just installed rmprepusb and tested the flash which said it was indeed a 512 gigabyte drive but it couldnt format it because of write protection was on so it proves your all idiots and no returns if winner puts it in a windows machine

Buyer beware, even though it says that is the capacity, it really isn't...travisreinink is correct, I bought a 32 GB card off amazon from china for a great price and ran the software tests after my computer would not format it. It turned out to be fake and only 2gb, go to the amazon website and read the comments, several ppl have been ripped off. I'd be careful and research what you sale, just saying that to keep you from having an Irrate customer returning your item and giving you negative feedback. Good luck and welcome to listia.

How to spot fake SD cards....

They are not that capacity. Theres software you use to run tests on them and check for spoofed sizes. Most likely a 16gb card. It just rewrites over itself from the beginning over and over if you tried to put full amt on it.

Maybe it was not the Windows write problem. I never had it happen to me.

new update the only problem with these is microsoft and its write protection problem its on their community forum they have issue a patch because its causing problems to all flash branded or not brand has nothing to do with it china sells anything unbranded and they make all electronics regardless of the brand everyone should research a little better before comenting about something you know nothing about and these are still being sold in china too

I found out that this could only hold up to 2 GB because it is a un-ofically packaged (no brand listed) USB drive on Ebay (possibly from China). I've read bout these, and you shouldn't have to get it if you want a large storage device. Anything after 2 Gbs will be corrupted.

if these are not good how did chinese get to put exfat on them and why does it say in windows 499 gig free? i loaded 40 full length videos avi and still had room l,left but windows corrupts them by write protecting it. its a windows problem not the flash drive
