I made this baby out of clay, then baked it in a special oven that was new and never used with food. I painted it with reborn paints (3-4 very thin layers). The last thing I did was add the white felt diaper and I added a bow to make make it stand out more . This baby has very fine details including blushing and creases (my camera isn't very good it looks much better in real life). This baby girl has dark black hair. It measures only 2 1/2 inches long. It takes a lot of time to make one of these. Before the baby is baked, I use a mold to do the body of the baby. I then use clay tools and even a straight pin to do the details, make the baby stand out more and to change things. I then smooth the baby skin out using my fingers. Every baby is one of a kind. I love to make reborn baby dolls but I thought I would like to try making clay babies. I tried to add lots of picts. so you can see all around the baby.
