Hi Kika, good to hear from you!!! I wish I had a better answer for you, but I grew these for 2 seasons and 1 year they were milder than Long Island and the other year they were not. So it seams that the weather and nutrient intake have a drastic effect on bitterness. They were much milder when only fed with compost at the beginning of the season, but once again, I don't know how much the weather had to do with that either. Thanks, Bob
