If you're new to Nashville, if you're a native, if you would like to live in Nashville but, don't, or even if you just like to visit, these CDs are a great, collectable time capsule of what Nashville and surrounding areas were producing on the indie music market in the early 2000s. I am a Nashville native and I was able to attend a few of the music shows that were held in the evenings in correlation with these conference dates. I'm not certain if ANY of the artists on these CDs are still grinding away, if they've disbanded, or if they've become famous. Check out the list of artists that are on each year's CD's to jog your memory:

Fanned and watching, Lari White debuted in Country Music back in 1993. She won you can be a star in 92. She also is an actress known for her role mostly in Cast Away with Tom Hanks. Vibrant Green has 4 albums all in 2005, you can listen to them on Myspace here https://myspace.com/vibrantgreen. Brent Woodall had 2 number ones on the Indie and country charts. In 2001 Who Cares topped the Indie Charts, in 2003 Louisiana Give back My Heart burned up the Country charts. he won th ASCAP award in 2006 and In 2007 Bright Side Of The Road a song written by none other than Van Morrison stayed on the Indie charts for 26 weeks.Brent began in 1968 with Ken Johnson they formed a little group in the 70's called Cherry Smash, in the 90's he and Johnson formed and founded Rivers Edge.

This will be so much enjoyment for me, I remember seeing most of them perform at Fan Faire. We watch Nashville every week and on the series Indie Music is so alive. Also Caroline Glaser who was on the voice is an awesome indie artist.
