This auction is for this sweet and elegant silver plated compact from the 1920's!The design on the top lid is wedding bells.
The inside reads, "New York", "KARESS", and under that, "WOODWORTH", then "Paris"
The latch closes securely, and the hinges are 100% in alignment.
The mirror has some kind of permanent fog on it, and only seen when you tilt it a certain way, but when looking into it straight on, you don't see it, as it is faint, and personally, I don't think it detracts from the overall beauty of it at all; if anything, it helps authentic it's age.
The back has a very small dent that is only noticeable when you tilt it and the light reflects it.
I don't see any pitting or erosion.
