Yes, they are. I use this yarn for kitchen towels that see heavy use- keeping the color is not a problem!

Yes, weaving is one of the things I get very excited about. I started about 20 years ago. I like to spin & dye for my projects, too, except for the towels. My 22" loom is always warped for towels :)

How thick is the strand? compare to cotton from peaches and cream by lily?

From what I can tell via web search, Peaches and Creme is a worsted weight yarn. This is closer to a fingering weight. Thanks for asking, I hope this info helps!
