Will it turn me green

A close friend of mine has been wearing one for approx 6 weeks now on an almost daily basis and she hasn't turned green yet. It's white gold plated, and seems to be a decent form of plating. Doesn't seem to show any wear after the 6 weeks she's been wearing hers. As with anything plated though, I would assume that it will wear over time if worn frequently. But no signs of green here.... except for the center crystal. :-)

All I've been told is that they are Austrian crystal. The center crystal is a deep green, much like an emerald.
