This kerchief was made with worsted weight yarn on US 5 needles, but you can also use sport weight mercerized cotton on US 7 needles. Thicker yar and/or smaller needles make a tighter, firmer mesh; use thinner yarn and/or larger needles for a lacier, more open effect.
