"Sterling Filled" is an "OXYMORON" or a name that is opposite of what it really is!

Silver Filled wire is 20% sterling silver wire with a base metal core in the center. It is made with a copper (or sometimes white brass) core center to give it strength.

(This wire must be work hardened to make rings)

I offer this SF wire for this ring project because pure Sterling Silver is TOO SOFT and even when it is work hardened, it does not form the strongest and most stable ring bases.

This wire comes to you dead soft, and A Beautiful, soft, real silver color- see photo.
