The auction is for.... 750 MG. ...(enough to grow about one hundred plants)....of Heirloom Late Flat Dutch Cabbage.....also known as Drum Head , Sure Head ,.........This cabbage was introduced to the US by German Immigrants around the 1840's.....Solid large ,broad, flat, blue-green heads with a white interior ....Late Flat Dutch is low growing , large spreading , short stemmed and a Sure Header........Excellent flavor and Great wrapper leaves.....This cabbage stores well for winter use and also makes Fantastic kraut!.........Start seed indoors about 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost.....plant seed about 1/4 inch in fine soil....Germinates in approx. 7 to 12 days....when transplanting outdoors space the plants about 24" apart and 36" between rows.....Matures in about 100 days producing a Beautiful and Excellent tasting , solid, flattened oval shaped head measuring about 7 to 8 inches thick and 12 to 14 inches wide weighing in at 10 to 15 pounds each........Excellent!......Ships Free to the USA , (lower 48).......Thanks for Viewing and Best of Luck!
