mine seems to work just fine. headphone jack to rca jacks for audio. works great for me.

the s-video on my video card doesnt reconize the box, cause its not powered,so i had to get a powered box that plugs in,im sure atleast the audio would work. It might be good for a video game system or dvd/vcr player to hook to your tv.

Yeah I understand what you are saying. I always use the vga out for video because you lose alot of video quality from a computer with s-video.
