Sergiomilan, if your address is not verified then the seller can't send you the item if you win. The seller can only send items to verified addresses. This is a great auction. I am watching and I fanned you. Please fan me back. I will be bidding also. God Bless
I could use that to complete my collection well almost complete it. I've got hundreds of old coins and old bills. And those would just be 2 more to add to what I have nos which are locked away in a safety deposit box just adding up. And when the time is right I will pass them down. But I will be watching this one really close. F&W.
I saw that some people asked if these notes were spendable. Confederate bonds were a lot like regular Confederate banknotes; while they circulated as legal tender in the south, they're not necessarily money.
They were a promise to pay money after the war, but only if the USA and CSA congresses ratified a peace treaty. Two years later, the notes would supposedly be convertible to gold or silver coins on demand.
Also, it's was (and still is) a very bad idea to try to spend Confederate notes in the USA. You would be charged and prosecuted for treason!
Great notes; wish I had enough credits to add that bond to my collection. Good luck with your auction; F&W!
