Description

The listing, Chocolate Mint Starts (rooted) has ended.

My chocolate mint is coming back up with a vengenance! It survived an abnormally cold TX winter (I saw lows down to TWO DEGREES!!!!!!). It is coming up and I can once again share this fun plant!

What you will receive: 2 to 4 small looking plants with roots. These will have strong roots.

What to expect...... Within a few short weeks of planting, these starts should be thriving, and you can even harvest a small amount. I LOVE this mint slightly bruised, dropped into a cup with a sprinkle of sugar/honey and then coffee added (I normally drink my coffee black). This yields a cup of coffee tasting a lot like a Thin Mint type cookie........... Decadent. <G>

I normally ship about Tuesday. That means, that upon winning, the winner will need to get me there address NO LATER than Monday evening (day this auction ends!) for me to get the mint ready to send off on Tuesday. If you don't get the your Listia Verified address by Monday evening, I might not get this off until the following Tuesday! This is just a fair warning. There is always a remote possibility that I'll be in town (12 miles) later during the week, but, I do not guarantee that!

I will NOT dig these starts up until I am ready to package them. However, I often do not get onto the computer on Tuesday morning........... I will be shipping freshly dug starts, wrapped in a damp paper towel, in a plastic bag. Starts could arrive looking sad, but plant and water. The roots are tough.

Picture was taken 3/19/14 of mint coming up after wintering our brutal winter!

Fanned, bid, and watching :) Love mint. Have several varieties...I recommend keeping it in pots ! It is invasive. Bees love it ! Check out my auctions for other bee helping plants !

Yes, can be invasive! Currently each of my mints are in double stacked semi tires (which is filled with well composted organic materials). Also, we are beekeepers (last few years have been hard here).
