The listing, Beautiful Onyx, Marcazite and Sterling Earrings has ended.

Hello, and thank you for looking at our auction. We are pleased to offer this elegant pair of earrings for your consideration. We believe the black material is onyx, but it may be another material. We are unable to determine this precisely. The metal parts including the clips are Sterling Silver. There are 4 Marcazites on each of the metal parts. There is a name which is a DP in script letters within an oval and 925 Thailand. These earrings are very nice and in excellent undamaged condition. We must assume they are used since they came to us from a local estate. They would make an excellent gift or addition to your collection.

Questions & Comments

Quick test...When you touch the "onyx" is it cold to the touch? If it is, then it might be real stone. If it's not, or if it warms up INSTANTLY to your touch, then it is most likely not stone and therefore not onyx. Just wanted to help! :)

Hi, and thanks for the information. Based upon this simple test, we believe it is NOT onyx. It was cold at first, but the room where it is kept is not very warm. We held one in each hand and they seemed to warm up rather quickly.

In the pictures(s) these appear to be for pierced ears, but in the description it mentions "clips." Checking to be sure.....

These are pierced. The "clips" are the little pieces you push on to the post to hold them in place.
