New Guinea, (first picture) to me is the most beautiful of basil with maroon and green colors blended in the leaves and would be fabulous in a group of these and the taste plus scent is spicy and so lovely! No words I can find to give this the credit it deserves...it's absolutely wonderful! The second picture is for Blue Spice, green with cooler blue/green tones in leaves that has a sweet vanilla scent and flavor, wonderful in cooking with. Again, you have to experience this to understand what I mean. The third is for Amethyst, deep earthy, spicy fragrance and also very good tasting with dark purple almost black leaves...these are by far the best tasting, looking varieties to grow alone or with other veggie plants (good companion plants for tomatoes and peppers and I'm sure others, just can't think of all of them) plus some flowers. Look it up yourself to see what these are great to grow next to. I grow these in containers to keep them pure from cross pollinating so they are good to go. Seeds are so small, I'm not counting them but will give you at least 25 EACH but will probably be more because these need to be moved out for this year. The New Guinea basil seeds are so small, there might be some chaff in it, all you have to do is rub your fingers with the chaff, seeds will fall, so place over white bowl or paper to collect seeds.
