This is not Sterling Silver....Quadruple means, it is dipped 3 times in silver--it is Silver-plated. You can Google it and see for your self.

That is exactly what I said. This is dipped in sterling, 4 times. I will check my listing to be sure I did not imply they were solid. Thanks!

"Antique Sterling Creamer & Sugar" , IS what you said and is written in your description. Sterling & quadruple are two very different things. Quadruple Silver plate once it tarnishes it will NEVER shine again.....Sterling will. AND Sterling is NEVER used in silver plating. You will always see SS for Sterling Silver....but never SSS....for Sterling silver Plated. Only Pointing out the difference because value is much lower in Quad....but as far as the value for an antique, it helps date the period Quadruple was used and that is the Victorian Era.

I don't understand why someone has implied that I listed these as STERLING...
I know that, and have researched the pieces myself. I simply put the exact text as is stamped on the pieces and my understanding is that this process is a step above from simple silver plating.

grandmasstuff is correct. Quadruple plate and sterling are two entirely different things. Sterling is much more costly. Nice set though! :)

It's very nice. They are referring to the use of the word 'Sterling' in your listing description(above or below your photo).

She said it was a typo you guys! Last off! She knows it's dipped. She said that in her notes. I agree with Erica also. This is gorgeous! Thanx for listing! Bidding x
