******If you live in an area where temperatures in the winter drop below 25 degrees F, your Egyptian papyrus will die in your landscape. In those areas, it is better to grow your Egyptian papyrus in containers that can be moved to warmer locations during the winter months.

Sowing instructions:
For best results, sow from March to May in light potting soil. Barely cover seed and keep moist. Maintain an optimum temperate of 70-75F.

Germination takes 25-30 days.

Plant Care
Do not deprive the Egyptian papyrus of water. The plant must have its feet wet at all times. Potted papyrus needs moist soil at all times, and transplanted Egyptian papyrus grows best in standing water. Most notably, papyrus plants thrive in watery environments and require significant amounts of water to survive in comparison to most other plants. Egyptian papyrus plants will also thrive as marginal plants along the shallow edge of a water garden in the right climate.

If planting indoors in pot, it will do great taking it outdoors as long as it doesn't get under 20F.
In the winter months indoors, just make sure the potted plant gets plenty of sun and stays continuously moist.
