Yes, this can be machine washed.
You can also hand wash, its all about personal preference.
I do not recommend air drying, as it makes thingy crunchy...

I'm sorry, I don't understand your question. This has a absorbent core of Zorb.
Zorb is a man made material that absorbs 10x its weight in fluid with just a single layer.
It depends on your flow how much you would consider it holds.
