I love these! I got hooked on making them myself. I have a pocket knitter I use to make them and crochet them. Quick to make and fun to wear!

Personally I am not good with knitting looms- I tend to get my rows tangled and I skip stitches alot. But I've been crocheting now for about 10 years, and yeah, these work up quickly and look great with lots of styles!

The pocket knitter looks like a comb you would use for curly hair, wide thick teeth and every other one has a hook on the end. It was actually for little kids to learn how to knit. I found it for 50 cents at a yard sale. It came with the loom and the little tool (looks like a yarn needle) that makes it easier to pull the yarn over other yarn. I have some of the round looms and straight ones too, but have only used the straight one once. Also at a church sale I found a round one with a crank made for kids. I made some socks with it, only problem is you can only use really thin yarn or it gets clogged up. My mother in-law showed me how to felt wool yarn which she gave me a bunch of. I think that might work in there then I can felt it to shrink the holes. Anyway... It's cool to find another person making the same thing I do. I have been crocheting off and on since I was about 9 or 10, but started doing it a ton more about 4 yrs ago. I am hooked now!

I have some round looms- mostly all I can do with those is make scarves lol
I was able to make stockings with them last year and they turned out ok. I find that I am better with small projects; i.e. I actually finish them! I have many pieces of larger projects stashed away that I never finished. I guess I just don't have the patience!

I understand on the larger projects. I have at least 3 different completely different style afghans started and maybe half done, if that. Once in a while I do some work on them, but get an idea for something smaller and quicker then just drop the big thing and do that. :0)

Yes! My afghan pieces were sitting for so long I finally just had to get rid of them lol
I know I would never finish them. I made some small baby blankets for my daughter when she was a baby, and I kept those, of course.

One of mine I started doing 27 by 27 stitch squares. Don't ask why 27 it just happened that way. Then crocheting a couple rows of black in between which connects the squares. I didn't plan it out very well and ran out of the black. Now I can't find the same shade of black anywhere! It's very frustrating! I really want to finish it, but no luck. Of course if I had planned it out instead of just starting on a whim...lol I went crazy with blankets for my baby girl before she was born. Thankfully I made them longer and wider so she could use them on her toddler bed now.

Planning? What's that?! lol
I have done that with so many projects! I'm so glad they make yarns that don't have a dye lot!
