This is a small pewter 4 x 4.5 inch Covered Sugar Bowl whose shape resembles that of a Small Bean Pot stamped with RWP (WILTON) with a Tavern Plough Emblem and USA embossed in the metal. So, no, you cannot cook in it, it for for sugar, or sugar cubes, it just LOOKS like a Bean Pot, see the shape? This is how these pieces are described all over the Internet if you look them up you'll see what I mean and why those descriptions are included in my title.
