"Cherokee Purple is an old Cherokee Indian heirloom pre-1890 variety.It has a deep, dusky purple - pink color and a superb sweet flavor. Very large sized fruit."
This information comes from the seed packet. I have no personal knowledge of this tomato, as this is my first year growing it.
