A rosary is for praying, I can't see the whole thing in any of your pictures but a rosary is a cross, then 5 beads. The large loop is 5 sets of 10 beads spaced out with a bead in between each.

A rosary is prayer beads. It's not really jewelry though people do wear it. It is beautiful no matter what you do with it.
