This is probably azurite/malachite as far as the stone. They usually cost quite a bit actually! Great auction! When I had stock piles of beads I had tons of azurite/malachite, they are much prettier in person, the way the deep blues and greens go together is amazing!! I told myself I wouldn't get so many beads to make necklaces anymore, only earrings, but I'm going to have to watch this, it's gorgeous!
well i thought it had malachite in it for sure too, but then i asked a "stone expert" bout it and he pretty much told me i was a idiot because every person on the planet should know that malachite can not mix with other stones....sooo idk, people can tell people its whatever they think it is i guess :/
well, neither am i, when i got this pendant the person told me it was a mix of Malachite and Lapis, but, its a stone, and it pretty anyway no matter what it is :P
They are right, I think that's what is considered "Azurite" possibly. I am not up on my game for stones right now since it's been so long since I've made jewelry, and different people call it different things, but I've known is quite often as Azurite or Malachite/Azurite... and yes, Malachite and Lapis is perfectly correct!
