I don't mean to be mean - but these have been recalled. Here's a blurb from Parents.com: "Immediately stop using the recalled lamp and contact IKEA for a free repair kit. Do not use the lamp until the repair kit is installed. The repair kit has self-adhesive fasteners for attaching the lamp's cord to the wall as well as safety instructions.
