The listing, URANIUM GLASS !!! WOW!!! Vintage 3 Section Candy dish ,nut or condiment dish!!! has ended.

This auction is or a 3 Section candy , nut, condiment (or olives, pickles celery , whatever you like!) Uranium Glass Dish!! This is the glass you've heard so much about! It's very collectible, because of the amazing color under blacklight(which makes a fantastic cabinet display!!) . It is safe because the level of uranium used , is actually very small!(Which just shows how powerful uranium is!!) It makes for a great conversation piece , and if you collect it , you already know all about how kool it is!! All you need to display it is a cabinet, or shelf(mine is on single shelves , ) if you use a cabinet paint the inside a dark matte blue or black and put in a light with a UV bulb, or you can get the fixture and bulb at any hardware store or Spencer's has them , too (not expensive!), it's the same blacklight or UV (ultraviolet) you see used to grown plants( put them together with you African violets!!

For shipping please send concealed cash, (you can put tracking and insurance on it if you are concerned , but I've had no problems)in an envelope , or card, I wish I didn't have to charge for shipping, but I must. I am a self employed artist , and I cannot rely on sales as I get no regular paycheck. So please have your address verified by Listia , before you bid, And I am only charging what it costs to ship(this is a fairly good sized and heavy piece and will require a fair amount of wrapping, and the large sized flat rate box. I don't want to take chances. It will be insured with tracking, too. Also if you are in a rush or impatient , please don't be! Lol! I'm sometimes speedy , sometimes not! From the time I get the shipping $ it can be a week or a bit more. Usually I'm pretty fast but the PO has very short hours now and only 1/2 days.(and I'm a night owl! That's the price of the Medium Flat Rate box, it has nothing to do with the bids, sorry , the Post office sets the rates.Sorry I am an artist, I cannot afford to pay to send things to you, If you want it ,it's free . but you do need to pay shipping. I wrote a whole long thing but it disappeared! But basically , if you go to Fairywood Museum online, you can read the history and about the museum(in Japan ) where they still make uranium glass today! (Hand blown!) . Ty for your question and good luck if you are bidding!

There is no danger in Uranium glass , it is .01% uranium, very minute amounts! The older antique pieces can be as high as 25% . The oldest known piece is 1840's a pitcher now in the Fairywood Museum in Japan,

You can ship a lot cheaper if you don't use flat rate boxes.

It depends on where you are shipping and if you want tracking and insurance(And I don't have a steady supply of boxes out here in the boonies, I often have to buy my envelopes and boxes (And my 100 ft roll of bubble pak is almost gone! That's going to really hurt when it runs out! I think I'll pak things in old clothes!! Haha)

I can ship this (at your request) without tracking or insurance , if you want, but it may take time to find a box that will fit , and if it arrives broken I can't be held responsible.(I'm out in the boonies , we just don't have a lot of boxes out here, there are literally only churches and one teensy tinsy Post office here that have very few hours(only open half days, now, closes at 4:15 (They don't take boxes after then. I am a night owl so I wake up at about 3 or 4 in the afternoon. I only make it to the PO about twice a week if I am lucky and they don't close "Just because" . With bubblie pak around I don't think it will go into a mailer either(somethings I can line the Mailer with cardboard. But if you can get a better price online for shipping the flat Rate box, my zip is 06330 , you can send me the prepaid shipping label , (You may save something) Ty I wish there was a cheaper way! I have 3 days until the auction ends, I will look around to see if I can find a smaller box. Or just a plain one but really in most cases it is more if you are far from me(I'm in CT) if you live in New England or New Jersey shipping might not be too bad for a plain box.
