44"w x 88" long or 44" long by 88"w depending on how you lay the fabric..I don't know to break it down into sewing yardage .. a yard is 3 feet by 3 feet yes? so wouldnt 2 yards be 72 x 72? if you cut it and sew part of it another direction it would be 132 inches compared to 144...

fabric comes wrapped on a bolt - this material was 44" wide and you roll off how many yards you want - so each yard is 44"v36" - two yards would be 44"x72" - so the piece you have here is 2 yards and 16 inches - and beautiful it is, too - I am bidding
