1. The skylight filters out UV non visible light to clarify photo quality.
2. The 3x is a magnifier to
get a closer view and focusing (macro).
3. The polarizer adjusts the amount of horizontal vs vertical light rays passing through to the lens (this older non circular type may interfere with digital camera exposure calculations).
