Description

The listing, original! GAP PRODUCT (RED)size med. T-SHIRT INSPI(RED) made in Lesotho of 100% African Cotton* has ended.

Product RED This is one of the Original GAP PRODUCT RED T-SHIRT'S Size Medium-(it is a men's medium)- But A Great Unisex Tee, that I purchased at GAP during their "Holiday '06" Season, when they first started appearing. I bought Several tanks, & tees, all (PRODUCT) RED, as they were so soft, substantial, well-made & absolutely the coolest Collection I had seen At GAP Ever. BUT, what really "pulled me in" was the Fact that for each shirt, tank, etc. I purchased, I Knew that 50% of GAP'S Profit was going directly to THE GLOBAL FUND to Help Women and Children with AIDS/HIV in Africa. So, I actually gave (PRODUCT) RED Tanks & Tees,as gifts for Christmas to friends, that year. Still have some left! This t-shirt was made in Lesotho, Africa from 100% African Cotton. It is in Perfect Shape. Not sure this was ever even worn. You can tell these were the first manufactured in Lesotho,by the off-white inner hang/size tag. Shortly after, the demand was so great, they were subbed out to be produced in other countries, and have the size, etc. imprinted on the inner back/neck of shirt. Wonderful Tee. and Great looking!
Will ship FREE in the US! Thanks for Looking & HAPPY BIDDING:)
“AIDS in Africa is an emergency, that’s why we chose the color Red. When you buy a (PRODUCT) RED product, the company gives money to buy pills that will keep someone in Africa alive. The idea is simple, the products are sexy and people live instead of die. It’s consumer power at work for those who have no power at all,” Bono, co-founder of (RED).

thanks:) I saw it in one of my t-shirt drawers! I really luv the Product (RED) Collection, too:) The Gap stores, near me~Washington, DC & suburban MD just do not carry the lines or amount of Product RED, they used to. I still have one of the Green Army Jackets, from when they came out, definitely a few yrs back. I wanted it so badly, I bought it for myself for Christmas! that year, paid $150, which was fine, as $75 to the Global Fund. Was shocked when they started putting them on sale, cause only 1/2 went to Global then, How stocked are the GAP Stores, in your area, with PRODUCT RED? I have not noticed anything new, in a while. Thanks so much:)

I'm in Philadelphia and there really isn't that much and nothing new here either. I never seen any Product (RED) on sale here, unless they were gone before I got there, I didn't think they went on sale. I know Hallmark never puts the items on sale, even the Christmas cards are always full priced after Christmas.

Thanks, actually it bothered me when 4? Yrs ago, they put some clothing product red on sale. It wasn't so much that I paid more, but the concept of 50% going to the Global Fund, that bothered me, that they would receive less. I went to a couple of gap stores in Maryland. They literally had no Product red for women and guys, just a few things in Gap Kids, I asked them why, and really did not get a good answer? Just "we have not gotten anything in. Duh. Lol I love the clothes and accessories, too' a couple of years ago, I went to one of their larger stores, right before christmas and they had a large product Red section and display, with tons of PR converse sneakers, tops and a really cool comfy gray jersey dress. Which I wore for a while then eventually sold on eBay, which I left about a yr ago. That day I bought the cute underwear! A (TI)RED Above the knee thin shoulder strap night gown/tank sleep thing that I still have , I think I gave as. Gifts all 3 of the pretty (INSPI)RED red tank top, very thick ribbed cotton, so pretty and Kind os sexy! I had a white l/s button front prod red shirt, that I wore until it was a rag! I still have a few Cool things that I don't use much or wear but don't want to part with and a few I may I am going to have to drive to Georgetown in DC and see what they have. It is one of the larger GAP stores, I miss going in and all the product red was in the front center, large display You live in a large city, as well. You would think they would have new lines? Do you have any PR clothing, scarves? Etc that you may list or trade?!!! Thanks for your comments and for watching this auction:) deb

I have 4 tees and a pair of sweats all well worn and loved, plus the converse sneakers. I also have a scarf by EDUN ( co founded by Bono and his wife Ali) it's the same scarf he wore at the We Are One concert in Washington DC. I love the EDUN line but it's a bit pricey for me right now, so I am staying with Product (RED). I'll be going to the Gap store here in the next week or so and if I see anything I'll let you know. I've been a huge U2 fan since the beginning and adorable Bono for the fact he is a rock star with a heart of gold and wants to make a difference in the world, make a voice for those who can't.

I totally agree wth your comments on Bono, I have been a U2 fan for several years, too. He has really stayed true to his roots. All the more "admirable" that he takes his time, money and energy to try to make the world better for people who can't get the help they so desperately need.
I really used to and still do love edun, but have not bought anything(nor really looked) recently. I have really cut back on my spending, with so many other financial obligtations plus rasing my twin sons. I still have a pair of Edun Jeans that are really so ripped, all throught he front legs, they are baggy, but i still wear them. One of my most comfy pair of Jeans and a few Edun tees., I love the Scarf! I know which one you are talking about.I grew up in DC and raised my sons there until they were about 4! But, decided to move about 2 miles from DC, in Maryland. Many reasons, I did not want my sons in the school system, among others. Do you live in/near DC?! Well I have some NOT GREAT NEWS about GAP and Product(RED) I decided to go to a GAP Store and ask them why there are no Product (RED) Displays, nor ANY Clothing . I was told by the manager of the store, THAT The CONTRACT Betwen GAP & Product (RED) Global Fund had expired & that Gap did not renew it. I was so shocked & a bit mad! Totally sucks. If you go to a GAP, would you confirm that with them? Sorry, I forgot you live in PA! I just couldn't believe that they chose not to renew the contract. Now, i really don't care much about shopping there. Product (RED) was 99% of the reason I even shopped there. thanks:)

I'm really shocked to hear that, but I will go this weekend and let you know what they say at the Gap store here in Philly, if that is the case, I won't be shopping there anymore, like you I only shopped there when my daughter was a baby, after 3 boys, I was blessed with my daughter and found some really cute outfits for her, but she's 16 now and likes to pick out her own stuff unless it's Product (RED) which she loves. I have a pre owned tee from ONE.ORG that was from the election year, white or grey, I have to check on the size, but if you would like one, let me know and I will send it to you. I think you won a bracelet from me last year from one of my favorite stores 10 Thousand Villages.

I feel the same way, as you. I told the manager at the store that although it was not her decision, I would not be back. Congrats on your kids & your girl, or now teen! I have twin sons, who turned 15, a few months ago(time does fly!) when they were about 8-12 I always bought them very cool Product(RED) Thermal style Henley l/s sleeved shirts, I think they were DISCOVE(RED) and any tees I could them. Right, at 15 they pick out their own clothes. OMG Your offer of the T-Shirt is so sweet & thoughtful. I would love to have it. Thanks so much & Yes I do remember the Bracelet, wood beaded luv it wear it in the Summer! I can't believe you remembered it. Your shirt offer is extremely thoughtful:) I had 2 edun t-shirts, both white, one had a map of Africa, & the One.org ONE T-Shirt, both of which I gave to friends. So I would be thrilled to have one. So Sweet. I guess now, it is still Converse, Apple, Armani!! I would love to see another company sign a contract for the clothes. Please let me know what you find out in Philly. I will not shop at GAP again, Thanks do much for everything. I will look around to see if there is Any other Product (RED)Clothing, that I can part with that your daughter may enjoy. Have a good day, Deb

I went to the Gap here and I was told the same thing, they had nothing at all in (RED). I'm really disappointed. I only had the grey shirt in xl, so if you send me your address, I will send it out next weekend. I did look to see if I had any ONE bracelets left, but I didn't. I had these from volunteer work from ONE but I haven't done any work with them in the past 2 years, I was in a car accident and it messed my neck up, but I plan to go back this summer and when I do I will keep your address and send you a few.
