The listing, Genuine white opal and stamped .925 ring has ended.

Delicately feminine petite sz 5 white opal ring in .925 sterling....too small to capture stamp with camera, but visible to naked eye. Very nice quality antique style. Really a lovely piece.

I'm not sure what holds the back of it, but it is 'encased' in the silver. It may have a glue or apoxy of some sort on its base.....never thought of that before. I've had it more than 20 yrs.....never loosened from the setting. It looks like the silver sort of 'folds over' the stone around the edges to secure it.

Actually, now that I look at it, it looks more like a mother of pearl......kind of satiny with no flecks of color.....

Not an antique, but it does look like it......I've had it 20 some yrs. I believe I bought it in a shop in Savannah GA.
