20 inch across x 15 inch (each side), quilted, has ties and has 3 pockets.

they are used on a hand walker for handicap people. I use my walker all the time and this is easier to transport stuff in. Like a water bottle, and other things. I use it as a purse at times.

It holds a lot of weight. whatever you put in them.

Is it connected like a bag or purse in case someone wanted to use it as one?

it has pockets on both sides, it is so strong you can carry a half gallon of milk in it.

you can use it as a purse, it has very large pockets, to carry all kinds of stuff. I use it most of the time for my purse stuff. It ties on, you would not want to take it off, unless you are washing it.
