I bought this a couple of years ago , works fine but I got all new computer and screen and wanted an ASUS router to go with my computer. It cost between 60 & 70 dollars when I bought it.

It is a wireless modem that will work with broadband and a modem. I have DSL with my phone company and there modem. I hope that answers your question. Thanks for the comment.

Sorry I said a wireless modem , that's not right it is a wireless router.

I guess I'm not sure how to do that, because what I think broadband is ... I can talk on the telephone on the same line that I have the computer, tablet and laptop going.That's why I use the router but i do get my feed over the phone line. It's not a hot spot, but my wife's phone will tether as a hot spot at the camp grounds because it has a data plan. I hope I am not confusing you more than I am. lol
