Description

The listing, Nikon Nikkormat FT 35mm Film Camera with 28-70mm Macro Zoom Lens and Teleconverter has ended.

This listing is for a used Nikon Nikkormat FT 35mm Film camera with a Vivitar Multicoated 28-70mm f3.5-4.8 macro zoom lens, a 2x Vivitar telecoverter lens with a cool woven strap.

The previous owner etched his name on the bottom of the camera.

Shutter fires at all speeds.

Film compartment and viewfinder are clean

Glass has no scratches. Aperture is dry and snappy. Includes front cap.

This is a classic 35mm SLR from the days when Pentax, Nikon, Olympus and Canon made all-metal cameras that were built like tanks and built to last a lifetime - film photography instructors have used them for black and white photography classes for decades and still recommend them. They are durable workhorses, and a joy to shoot with. Film is still sold at many stores like Walmart, Walgreens and CVS etc and most places still have developing labs.

Includes:
Camera
Vivitar 28-70mm lens and cap
Vivitar 2x Teleconverter
Decorative woven strap

You must have a lot of cameras! Lol Definitely watching!! Ive always been into photography, I had a few cameras but lost them in a house fire a few years back. Incase I dont win again is there somewhere you'd recommend I look to buy? Really miss my old school cams. Digital just isnt the same in my opinion.

I've seen quite a few vintage cameras here on Listia; I even picked up a nice old Rolleiflex here, only usually the bidding is pretty high so you just need to make sure you have some credits. If you just want to buy old cameras, then you might try Craigslist or eBay.

You always have very nice cameras on here. I will say that Nikon was number one when it came to the SLR film camera. No matter what a persons favorite brand is most will argee with this. Nikon Nikkormat FT mids 60s. Nikon FM3a 2001. Both very different cameras but similar in the body shape. It goes to show that Nikon came out with an excellent design for a camera body that would last 5 decades.

Thanks Dennis! I agree, Nikon did something right and stuck with it! I love that I can still use my old Nikon lenses on my new Nikon dSLR.

Hi I'm a Photography Student & I'm looking for a film camera to go along with my digital one! Do you know if I will I be able to swop the lenses bck and forth from each other? I have a Canon T3.

You could buy an adapter to put this Nikon lens on your Canon camera, but if you're looking to swap lenses back and forth, you should probably find a Canon Autofocus camera to go along with your Canon autofocus Digital SLR, instead of a Nikon manual focus film camera.

need to get a lens adapter to change lenses mounts, like vivitar makes these
Mar 28th, 2014 at 12:23:09 AM PDT by

I suppose you could get adapters to put a nikon lens on a Canon or Minolta camera, but it would be pretty cumbersome and you'd lose a lot of functionality. Best fit for this would be for a Nikon.
