Hm, I will have to check. I know that it is on the DVD disk and not just a slip of paper. So the DVD has to be inserted in a laptop to unlock the digital copy.

the dvd digitals almost never expire with their code if its only for personal use on your device, after expired date its just no longer good for sharing on devices. hope that helps. had to go thru same thing not long ago. good luck
