Fanned and watching. As odd as it sounds, after a player retires his cards usually suffer a price retreat (out of sight-out of mind thing). As he approaches election to the HOF they'll regain some lost value and then level out. After election, whatever his cards values are will remain pretty constant. Unfortunately for Jeter, and I'm a big fan with over 1000 card collection, there's no scarcity of his cards and that will values down.
