I'm not sure, but my sister said she thinks it's only the older games it plays in.

They only work in Leapster and Leapster 2 game systems. I hope this helps! I have been buying a bunch of these for my kids lately, that is how I know. LOL!

LOL, thanks. I had no idea what they could or couldn't work in. I just got them for my nephew and found out he has the new system that takes the small thin kind.
